If you have an interest in the history of the railroad then this book could indeed be for you. The full title on the cover reads: The Transportation Frontier: Trans-Mississippi West, 1865-1890 - Oscar Osburn Winther. It says: Histories Of The American Frontier - across the top. The cover illustration actually goes front to back and is of a town and railroad being built - land being cleared, the passenger train going through, people, etc. So, take a peak, this may be just the history book you're looking for.
This is a softcover book measuring approximately 7 1/4" X 10 3/8" X 7/8" with 224 pages of information, including the index, plus maps and illustrations.
