There's no bother of switching for each note. Here's how to tune for a guitar using the CHROMATIC mode. 6-String Tuning (1) Hit the E string and watch the LED light for E go on. (If it's within a half step of E, the light goes on automatically. If not, just tune it closer until the LED light for E goes on.) (2)Tune the E string. (3)The arrow lights in the meter face will tell you whether you're b or #. Tune the string until both of them light up. Now, tune the A string the same way. The A LED lights when you're within a half step, then fine tune until both the arrows light up. By now you have the hang of it. Tune all the remaining strings the same way.
