Item Description
Up for purchasing a 2008 Brand New in box PRO Challenger GSD 30 fishing reel good for fresh and saltwater. The GSD is made of one piece graphite frame. The unique EXTRA LARGE (bigger than the 2006 model) handle grip on the GSD was designed with two main goals in mind: comfort and function. The grip is made with a soft rubber compound that does not become slippery when wet, allowing the angler to comfortably maintain his or her grip. The stainless steel handle not only allow the angler to grip the handle like a typical barrel grip for maximum torque, but also enables the user to utilize a two or three finger grip similar to one on a paddle grip to easily work top water plugs or rapidly gain line.
The GSD 30 combines the advantages of Trolling & Sea Casting. The addition micro adjustment knob on the left side plate can control the speed of spool. This reel is very smooth with U.S. made GREASED CARBON FIBER DRAG WASHERS STACK (Compare to the 2006 Telfon drag washers). Just think if the 2006 GSD-30 with teflon drag washers could pull into those catches in the pictures, what this greased carbon fiber stack drag washers would do.

Hi there,
I put 365 yards of 15 pound BLUE P-LINE. I landed a 32 pound Yellow Tail on that line with that reel off the Mexican Coast (Ensenada) on a 2 day Boat out of H & M Landing in San Diego.
I caught 8 Yellow Tail and 2 Dorado - have 70+ pounds of Fillets in the freezer. Was a great trip ...
