Expanding dovetail locks ram and turret into one unit to prevent vibration. 
Column, knee and table are constructed with extra wide ways and taper gibs for maximum rigidity. 
All operation controls are at the operator's fingertips; graduated dials are extra large for easy reading. 
Anti-friction bearings are used throughout the machine.  Worm and gear controls are used for angular settings of head. 
Wick feed lubrication dirtributes oil to all spindle bearings and moving parts by means of a flush system. 
Bridgeport's Model BRJ is a heavy-medium duty machine equipped with a model "J" milling, drilling and boring head as standard equipment. 
However, with the use of a combination of Bridgeport head attachments, the capacity of the machine includes right angle milling, drilling and boring as well as vertical. 
Profiling, slotting, cherrying, flycutting and jig boring can also be accomplished. Angles in all planes are set through worm gear controls. 
Ram type construction permits movement of head over the table without rechecking the squareness of the spindle. 
In and out movement of the ram, through rack and pinion, is effortless.
The rear end of the ram has a regular swivel adapter for mounting additional heads, giving angular settings in both vertical and horizontal planes.

History & Description:
The family's business closed last year after sixty years manufacturing TV parts. The result is a sixty-year build up of metalworking, manufacturing and tool making supplies.  We have a factory worth of quality new & used items. It includes a power feed Index mill, a power feed Tree mill with Advance rotary table and Acurite, a Bridgeport mill with Acurite, a Grub vertical band saw, a Fosdick drill press (my personal favorite), a 15" Sheldon Lathe, a 15 ton pneumatic press brake, a 24" sheet metal shear, a Covel optical comparator, , a filing machine, inspection surface slab, and various other items.  There are also some quality collectible old tools; so keep a watch for future auctions.

Pick up only. I have a one ton fork lift which I can use to help you load. I believe the mill weighs more than that, but I don't want to test it and put the machine off level. Safety first. If I think you are a danger to yourself, others, or equipment around you, I reserve the right to refund your money and send you on your way.  in moving machinery can be deadly in a hurry. I have sold a dozen machines from punch presses to lathes and grinders and have not had to do this so far. I have been lucky with smart buyers who new what they were doing, but I remain wary.
