Eagle- heavy verticle ribbing( McK # GII-35 ) Louisville Glass Works, aqua, quart, open pontil, applied double collar mouth, 1845-1855. This boldly embossed quart is a fine example of the ribbed flasks blown at the Louisville glass works and as shown, the piece features tons of air bubbles through out the flask the largest measuring almost three inchs long. I love the size of the flask, standing all most eight and three quarters tall and the heavy ribbing makes this a very large and bold flask. Their is a small open bubble on one of the ribs but very hard to see. I have had this flask for about 15 years. |
