British Columbia Tartan Tea Cup Plate Collector's Plate Featuring a beautiful blue, green, yellow-gold, red-orange, white plaid tartan gathered with dogwood (?) blossom and other greenery. The plate is even edged gold! The Provincial tartan has five colors, each with its own significance: blue for the ocean; white for the dogwood; green for the forests; red for the maple leaf; and gold for the crown and sun on the shield and flag. The tartan was adopted in 1974. This is a fabulous almost 5.75" plate to add to any collection, would be perfect for someone who has the teacup and no plate! In great shape, as far as I can tell, no cracks or chips in the plate. There is some wear on the lettering British Columiba, but other than that it is in great shape. There is rusty orange mark on the back- it may wash off, not sure, and one bit in the glaze that looks to be a manufacturing flaw. The gold markings on the back read Bone Kent China Taylor & Kent England with a crown in the center. I accept Paypal as my primary form of payment and the
