in the style of crazy patchwork with a rayon

& self-taught artist Linda M. Olszanski
specializes in creating Quilt
Art collages that portray metaphorical
imagery inspired by nature and science.
Linda composes improvisational styled
collage quilts with a variety of fabrics,
threads, and embellishments. Unlike traditional
quilts composed of 3 separate layers;
she pieces, appliqués and embroiders directly
on a layered foundation of fabric and
quilt batting which results in immediate
dimensionality. |

improvisational collage style of composing
allows me the freedom to explore and
discover unexpected evolutions of the
content and meaning behind the metaphorical
imagery.
While
the metaphoric images have specific
meaning to me, they are also enigmatic
in that the viewer can bring their own
personal experience to their interpretation.
A
full-time studio artist, instructor
and lecturer since 1994, Linda’s art
has been exhibited and collected internationally
