BRONZE "SELDOM SEEN SLIM" SCULPTURE

Your bidding on a beautiful Bronze of "Seldom Seen Slim" Sculpture from Joel's Art Studio in Palm Springs, CA.

Joel's Art Studio was at Knott's Ghost Town in the 1990's making and selling his sculptures to visitors from around the world. "Seldom Seen Slim" was his signature piece at Knott's.

This piece has alot of history. If you have ever been to Knott's you may remember seeing a full size sculpture in front of the Park of A Miner and a Mule, this was sculptured by a very well known artist at Knott's before Joel's time(Claude Bell). You would most likely remember Claude's work off the 10 Fwy in Cabazon CA heading to Arizona of the giant T Rex sculpture that overpowers the Freeway. Claude was a very unique man, truly one of a kind......And truly missed.

Anyway, there was an actual miner that lived in the Sacramento Mountains, and literally panned for Gold for months at a time. Every so often, he'd come down with his mule into town to get some provisions, then go back into the Mountains again. No body ever knew his real name, but the folks in Town  decided to give him one thus "Seldom Seen Slim" was pegged into history. Even today, some people are still convinced that "Slim" is in "THEM THARE HILLS" trying to strike it Rich.

Measurements are 14" High with a 10" Base and weighs 8 lbs.

The prospector & Mule retails for $169.

This is a fresh casting in Hydrastone, then hand plated in Bronze Liquified Metal (a Bronze powder that is mixed in suspension materials for hand finishing.) The sculpture is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Join the thousands of Collectors that have enjoyed Joel's Art work from around the World.

*Note:

* Because of the detail of this sculpture we use a professional packer  at our cost to you to insure a safe arrival to your destination. Triple Bubble Wrapped, Custom Sized Box and lots and lots of peanuts.
