A sewing and embroidery machine in one, Brother's computerized SE270D features 97 built-in embroidery designs including 27 Mickey Mouse and Friends designs and 70 additional designs for florals, seasonal themes and much more.
Five built-in monogramming fonts in three different sizes help create a variety of insignia, logos, and emblems. The embroidery hoop area is 4 by 4 inches for lots of text or large lettering. A built-in memory card slot is compatible with Brother's extensive Embroidery Card Collection, Disney Embroidery Card Collection plus the company's PE-Design and PED-Basic software (sold separately).
The SE270D also has 98 built-in stitch functions and Brother's exclusive quick-load thread cassette system, which threads the machine and needle in 3 easy steps. The bobbin system is also simple to use thanks to the unit's fast, automatic bobbin winder and one-step bobbin replacement. Built-in, one-touch start, stop and reverse operations enable operation without foot control.
A built-in, touch LCD screen makes it easy to select between stitch and embroidery patterns. Other built-in stitches include: 10 styles of one-step auto-size buttonholes, stretch stitches, garment construction stitches, decorative stitches, heirloom stitches and quilting stitches. Thread tension as well as stitch width and length adjust easily to eliminate loose loops and breaking.
The purchase includes accessories for zipper insertion, darning, twin- needle stitching, and buttonhole sewing and button attaching. Instructions are printed in both English and Spanish. Brother backs this machine with a 25-year limited warranty.
