Buffalo Bill Rides Again / Richard Arlen – ‘very amusing and lifelike’ paper novelty Finger Puppet in original packet, England, 1947.

This is a wonderful little novelty item that was made to advertise the 1947 movie Buffalo Bill Rides Again, starring Richard Arlen in the title role. It is a charming 3½” paper finger puppet in the shape of Buffalo Bill, with Arlen’s face. You put your fingers through the two holes in the puppet and then put on the two paper cowboy boots and you can make Bill walk or dance. The puppet is in perfect clean condition. It has always been kept in its original 5” x 3½” packet / envelope, which has a picture on the front and the simple directions for use are on the back. The packet also reads Made in England – Reg Design. The packet is also in lovely clean and flat condition with not even any creasing. It has been stored somewhere dark and dry. I am not sure how or where it would have been given. (And it probably was given, rather than sold). Perhaps it was simply available in a cinema to pick up.

PACKAGING.    Please note that all of my items are well-packed in thick card or in boxes, and then wrapped in good quality brown paper.   I do not make any separate charge for packaging materials - everything is included in the final price. Many of my feedback comments mention my good packaging and I will of course continue to meet my own standards.
