Here are the correct size oil galley plugs, they were discontinued years ago and parts stores and machine shops have been selling 5/8" plugs, they are the WRONG size, you need 39/64" plugs, that is 1/64 smaller than the 5/8's. I will also include the correct hard to find cam plug.
We had the correct size made so they fit correctly and will not block the oil passages that are so close to the oil galley openings where plugs fit.
The larger 5/8" plugs tend to distort when installing them. I have also included a cam snap ring, they seem to be missing out of many of the engines I have torn down for rebuilding. Please let me know know the year and size of your nailhead, the 53-56 264-322 have more of these plugs and a different snap ring, you can buy extra plugs from me and I will include the correct snap ring.
The 57-66 364-401-425 use 3 in the front of the block and one in the rear behind the distributor where I install 2 plugs for extra security sence those can not be staked in.
I use green loc-tite and drive them with a 1/4" drive extention with large end fitting into the plug cup...I just don't sell parts, I build these engines. I use them in every engine that leaves my shop..
Watch for other new items available in the future in my ebay store...........I only except money orders or bank/cashers checks, NO PAYPAL but I can also take a credit card over the phone, (Visa Master Card or Discover) my shop is now located in Grass Valley Ca., that # is 530-272-1564. Ca. bidders will pay 7.375 sales tax.....
Thanks
