This has to be one of the truly great vacuum tube PRO AUDIO books of all time! Hardback, from about 1938, in great condition, it consists of 256 pages of article gleaned from the brilliant Electronics magazine from the late 1930's, which was the world's best tube electronics magazine. That is why they put the articles into this hardback book! So now we see it's 2008, and these articles are still cutting edge!
I'd say there are about 60+ articles, and they range from Sound Reproduction to Broadcast Station applications to Design and Research.
Some of the earliest Limiting amplifiers are here, with circuits so you can build one!
"A Low Distortion Limiting Amplifer" is one, an awesome piece that you can build with Type 56, 6C5 and 2A3 tubes! A masterpiece! Can you imagine how great a 2A3 tube limiter would sound? Awesome is the word!
"A Volume Limiter" is another article....uses Type 42, 6E6, 84 and 80 tubes.
Several great articles about DISC CUTTING...if you are into that, you'll love this.
That is all I'm saying for now....just trust me that you will adore this fantastic book if you have bothered to read this far. And one of you will get it....I just have this one.

For what it is worth, I have owned a vintage, tube based analogue 24-track studio for over 20 years...and yes, the vintage, tube and discrete electronics DOES sound much better than anything else! Learn all you can about vintage tube gear, it keeps going up in value!
