There is an extra sense of accomplishment if you built the antenna yourself. If you have never built an antenna, this is a great first kit for a child or adult - easy to build in less than an hour and very powerful. Having built my own wireless antenna's for many years, I highly recommend this kit.

Included is one copper PCB board pre-drilled to accommodate the included standard N-type female, bendable #12 type bare copper wire, and even the low temperature solder is included. The only tool needed is a butane torch or butane lighter available from any local store or gas station.

NOTES
(*) Customers always ask us how far away our products can connect. Environmental conditions, humidity, trees, ceilings and walls in the path of the signal can all effect the WiFi range. Real customers have reported 1.5x to 3x increases in range and performance though your experience is very dependent on your local environment and interference.

(***) To use this BiQuad to extend the range of your WiFi device an external antenna connector is required. Most routers and PCI WiFi devices,and some laptop devices have external connectors.

Please order the correct cable model for your WiFi device. Most Linksys and D-Link routers, All compatible USB device, and most PCI cards use RP-SMA; older Linksys and Cisco devices use RP-TNC; PCMCIA cards: Lucent/Orinoco/Enterasys use MC - Cisco, Senao use MMCX, SMC uses RP-MMCX, and some professional models use N-type.

If you want to connect this to our USB WiFi products - great combination with range up to 5 miles (8 km) depending on the environment and the power of the USB WiFi device, then you will need to order the RP-SMA pigtail.
