Please click here to see all my phonograph items BUY MORE AND SAVE ON SHIPPING! *************************************** Today I will be listing a Busy Bee 78 player, Edison Standard, Crane, Horn, Columbia Q, Camera Phone and some other items for a long time collector who is starting to part with some of his collection. Over the next few days I will also be listing many GREAT cylinder & 78 records including rare 5000 series cylinders. Please click on the above link to check them out! ALL with NO RESERVE! ************************************* ********************** Here is a Busy Bee 78 phonograph with BEAUTIFUL BLUE HORN! The horn measures 26.5" tall and 19" across. It has some of the usual imperfections you would expect to find on an original old horn, but is really very nice and any collector would be proud to have such a nice horn. The reproducer and turntable cloth are new. The turntable does not have the usual "lug nut", so this will play normal 78 records. The finish on the case has been reworked and you can see a slight shadow around the BEAUTIFUL DECAL. The crank looks to be original. Inside the case I see some putty around the hinges. I just now wound it up and the spring felt good and turntable turned. Also included is a new 2 page parts and instructions paper! This will most likely be packed in two boxes. One for the horn and arm that will be about 22X22X30 and one for the wood case with motor that will be about 16X16X10. I will charge $12.00 to carefully bubble wrap, pack in foam peanuts and for the boxes. My zip code is 58103 and I live in Fargo, North Dakota if you would like to estimate shipping. My guess is about $60.00 in US. (and about $160.00 outside the US, assuming you live in a country that has a 108" size limit for Priority Mail...,) but Please wait for me to send an invoice for a more exact pack/ship/insure cost once I have the winning bidders zip code. For international bidders: Please check out International Parcel Services http://www.ipsparcel.com/ I have never used them before, but they had by far the best prices for large items too big for USPS Priority Mail which is 79" limit for many countries and 108" limit for others. On Nov-10-09 at 06:59:12 PST, seller added the following information: SHIPPING: Please remember my shipping quote is just a GUESS and I never know the exact cost until I have the zip code or country. One country I checked shipping cost, using International Parcel Services, was closer to $300.00 than my GUESS of $160.00. Also, when packing the horn I may need to use a box that is close to the size of the largest horn dimensions: 20X20X28, to make the 108" limit for priority. I use a spray foam, in a bag, at the points that come close to the box edges. Best Regards, Mike |
