This is wonderful straw filled bear measuring 16 inches in height. He is German and is probably steiff or bing but im not an expert. he has his original boot button eyes and wonderful leather type pads, these are not original but look like they have been replaced in the 1930s or 40s so have great age to them. He looks pretty poor but really only needs his nose restitching and his body, arms and legs need extra stuffing. He needs a light clean. He is in much better condition on his back than his front, where he has a lot more mohair. He has 2 small holes on his chest. He has very, very long spoon arms and really big feet, which is so appealing in these early bears.He has in his chest I can feel a box growler that no longer works. I can have this bear restored by a friend of mine for approx £40, which I could arrange for the highest bidder if requested, but I know all you bear people out there like to see a bear in it's original state so thought I would list him as he is, he is still gorgeous! and maybe you would like to do him up yourself.
