CAI CESSNA AIRCRAFT ALTIMETER 0-20k feet calibrated

This listing is for a VERY nice 1940's vintage CAI aircraft altimeter. 6 o'clock baro adjust knob, single pointer style. Has "CESSNA" on dial, would guess it is from a 140 or early 150. 0-20k feet. Very accurate, now, but not FAA certified,( I do NOT do that, as insurance is too high). Standard 2 3/4" dial, 3 1/8" mounting diameter.Great for you 4X4 or experimental, homebuilt etc. I recently took this guy on a trip back and forth to Southern California, and it tracked PERFECTLY all the elevations of the mountain passes I transited. An excellent instrument! I love using these in my Land Cruiser,(FJ-40) as well as my pickup.
