Designed for use where minimal weight is a prime concern. Made entirely from 7075 aluminium alloy which makes it not only light, but tough. The axe is very comfortable to hold both with and without gloves. A rubber ring adjusts up or down on the shaft to position your grip exactly where you need it. The hollow shaft is plugged to prevent snow from getting in and weighing you down. A double spike at the bottom of the shaft increases stability. The grip area has six cnc machined grooves for a better grip. The alloy head has a 3D high strength design with a sharp point and aggressive teeth for better self arrests. Ideal for glacier travel and non-technical mountaineering. Unsuitable for ice climbing and technical routes.
