A Collectible Certificate from

 

CANADA SOUTHERN RAILROAD

 

This company grew out of several smaller locals and acquired its present name some time around 1870.  It stayed essentially a regional railroad and indeed throughout most of its life its cars bore not its own name but that of its larger partners: Michigan Central and New York Central.  Because of its smaller size, its certificates are also harder to find and often demand a higher price than those of its partners.

 

It features a Magnificent Engraving of an Old Funnel-Stack Locomotive!

 

This Stock is in Extremely Fine Condition

CRISP AND CLEAN

and is EXACTLY the one you will receive.

[The Certificate you will receive bears Registration Number 013158.  It is made out to Helen E Weaver and is dated August 3, 1912.  It has the normal cancellation holes and a few pinholes and was folded and then straightened out a long time ago.  It measures about 7 inches by 11 inches.]
