Emergency alarm :If any of the doors, hood or trunk is open while the alarm is armed, the siren will sound for 25 sec, the turn signal lights will flash 25 times, the LED will light solid for 25 seconds, the starter interrupt will be engaged, the remote control will beep intermittently for 15 seconds. if the violated zone is left open after 25 seconds, the alarm cycle will repeat.

A: NO Although they are not model or year specific, the remote starter can only be installed on fuel injected, automatic transmission vehicles.

A: NO Certain conditions will affect operating ranges. Because remote starters operate on radio signal, other radio equipment such as car alarms, and keyless entry systems in the vehicle or vehicles parked nearby will interfere with the reception. Parking with many other vehicles will also reduce range, as the signal cannot penetrate metal. Nearby broadcast signals such as radio and TV will also interfere.
Q: CAN SOMEONE ELSE START MY CAR?
A: The remotes are coded to prevent others from operating your system. However there are a finite number of codes and they are repeated, so it is possible to experience duplication. ( practically, it is almost impossible )

Q: WHAT IS AN IMMOBILISER
A: Many newer vehicles (96 and up) are equipped with anti-theft ignition keys. Special chips are imbedded in the key, and a code is sensed by an antenna in the steering column. This technology prevents a thief from breaking the ignition switch, and starting the vehicle with a screwdriver to steal the car. If the car does not sense the special code it will not start. Unfortunately this prevents the remote start from starting the vehicle also. Special modules have to be added to the remote start to overcome these systems( please contact with your local dealer or professional installer. )

Remote Starter FAQ
A remote controlled car starter operates via a coded radio frequency signal sent by a keychain remote (transmitter). When the signal is received by the remote start brain (receiver) the vehicle parking lights signal the receipt of the signal, a safety check is performed, and then the remote starter mimics the electrical signals normally sent to the car by the key operated ignition switch. The remote starter senses the engine starting by one of two methods, either ignition tach signal, or voltage sensing of the charging system or oil pressure indicator system. This prevents the remote starter from overcranking the engine, and also allows it to sense stalling so it can re-attempt to start. Once the engine is started, a timer will allow it to run for the programmed time( usually 8-10min), and shut the engine off. While the engine is running on the remote start whatever the heating, or air conditioning settings were left on will operate. ( this is done by your manual setting , not by remote controller )
