GODDESS ERZULIE
The colors of these earrings were influenced by the portrait of the Goddess Erzulie, shown in the lastscan. Erzulie is the Caribbean Goddess of love and beauty, and this image always reminds me of the regal beauty of West Indian women. It was painted by the gifted artist Sandra Stanton of Goddessmyths. She has painted remarkable renditions of Goddesses from cultures throughout the world. My sincere thanks to Ms. Stanton for allowing me to use her name, and her unforgettable portrait of Erzulie.
Bright, vivid and so pretty, these lovely earrings are as joyous as a Caribbean island celebration. They feature 17mm. long swirled shape briolettes of apple-green turquoise for a bright splash of color in your ears. I've accented them with the colors of Erzulie's portrait: golden color keishi freshwater pearl petals, 4mm. faceted flame red carnelians and smooth deep blue lapis. All are worked on 14kt. gold-fill wires to 24kt. sterling vermeil chain, and hang from 24kt. sterling vermeil French wires. They measure 1 & 7/8" long without the wires and include rubber stoppers for security.

14Kt. gold-fill is a durable metal (usually brass) with an overlay of 14 kt. permanently brazed onto the surface, so it will never tarnish like gold-plate. Sterling vermeil is .925 sterling silver, with a heavy 24kt. gold overlay. Gold-fill and vermeil are used in most Museum reproductions of historical jewelry.
All metals used are 14kt. gold fill or 24kt. sterling vermeil and all gems are genuine.
