My method of measuring:
Bust – from under arm to under arm then doubled.
Sleeve-Length – from top of sleeve at should-seam (or edge of shoulder pad) to tip of cuff.
Length of a top – from shoulder seam to hem (unless it has no sleeves or spaghetti straps).
Waist – side to side, then doubled.
Rise - from waistband in front to 4-way seam at crotch
Inseam – from the 4-way or X seam at the crotch to bottom of pantleg.

Please understand that I sometimes purchase more than 1 of the same item if available, and only measure the 1st one in each size, so there could be a slight difference.
