CAROLINA HERRERA Couture Runway Spring 2008 Beaded Top

Carolina Herrera said she was inspired by the watercolors of Jeremiah Goodman,
the interiors illustrator to the smart set, whose book,
Jeremiah: A Romantic Vision, was published earlier this year.
Diana Vreeland, Elsa Peretti, and Pauline de Rothschild were his clients,
so you can imagine how lavish Herrera's fabrics were today.
And she wasn't content to leave her floral silk failles be;
she'd decorated them with artful swaths of intricate beading.
The whole collection was a light hearted and soignee look!

Here is a 100% Silk Chiffon Shirt in a Deep Midnight Navy Blue
U-Shaped Neckline and a small standup Mandarin Collar
The shoulders feature an attachment that looks like a completely Chalk White Beaded and Embroidered Bolero
This is a loose piece in the front and does not extend to the back of the top
Long Sheer Full Sleeves inset from the Bolero
Smocking extends 5" over the elbow section of the sleeve and is all smocked in White
The full Drapey Sleeve extends loose past the smocking
ANd the cuffline features the same white Beading & Embroidery Featured on the Bolero Section
The Crystals are Clear and Chalk White and the Embroidery is Pure White as well in a Floral Pattern
Donned over the head with a Side invisible Zipper
The body of the shirt is double layered so there is no sheerness except for the sleeves
