Bound in full mottled calf. Five gilt-ruled compartments, with red Morocco spine label and title in gilt. Separate title pages printed in multiple typefaces.

In good antiquarian condition. Moderate wear to the extremities, small gouge and 2" split to the bottom of rear outer hinge. Rear board also appears to have had a corner of the leather expertly repaired. Faint tidemark to upper corner of preliminaries, as well as to the top and bottom margins of last ten pages. Small piece missing from corner of front free endaper; contemporary penciled name of "Mary J. McCorkle" on first title page. Binding is strong, with no loose or missing pages; text is unmarked and clean with the exception of scattered foxing and toning to the 183 year-old paper. OCLC: 4140007; AMERICAN IMPRINTS 25777.

A nice copy of this fairly scarce early nineteenth-century Georgia Imprint, printed the year Thomas Jefferson died.
