CAST IRON BILL RECEIPT HOOK Nashville TN Ornate Vintage

This listing offers an old cast iron bill or receipt hook. It measures 5-7/8" tall, 3-1/4" wide. Ornately designed in a sort-of Fleur-de-lis pattern with a keyhole at the top and a hole for wall mounting below. Front side is painted black; back side painted brifht green; hook is unpainted. The original price sticker from Griffin's (Griffin's Art Supply), Nashville, TN. remains on the back side. Although the price is faded away, the old phone number, AL 4-3368, is still visible. This should date it to sometime around the 1950s.

CONDITION: Very good. No damage. I believe it was originally painted green all over and the black paint on the front was done later. You can see traces of green under some small spots where the black is worn off. There is some light surface rust in the crevices and on the hook but nothing major.

Shipping & Handling

We ship domestic and international orders via USPS and offer multiple shipping options. S&H charges quoted include actual postage cost, delivery confirmation, and a nominal handling fee. All orders are professionally packed, using new and gently used packing materials including biodegradable styrofoam.

Insurance is available at additional cost; recommended for fragile items and required for large fragile items or those with a value of $100 or more. Although orders are packed securely for safe transit, we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss caused by the Post Office while in transit.

We ship orders within 7 days of cleared payment. Since we offer combined shipping and a choice of shipping options, we do not process and pack orders until they are paid for. If you require Express Mail shipping, we will try to accomodate, but please inquire before you bid.

Attention International Bidders: USPS only offers three types of service for international shipments:

First Class Mail - available for shipments weighing less than 4 lbs. - insurance and tracking are not available.

Priority - available for any size shipment but required for any weighing over 4 lbs. Insurance is "sometimes" available at additional charge (but NOT with Flat Rate Envelope) and some indemnity coverage is provided free of charge. Tracking is only available with package service, NOT with Flat-Rate Envelope.

Express Mail - available for any size order - includes free tracking and indemnity coverage. International shipping terms and restrictions vary by country.

Merchandise returned within 3 days, and received in the same condition as shipped, may receive a merchandise credit for the sale price, excluding S&H. Buyer pays for return shipping.
