This is a beautiful Castleton China Independence Ironstone dinner plate in their Ash Lawn pattern that is white with blue lamps and floral swags on octagonal rim.  It measures 10 5/8" across.  There are light utensil marks.    The back is marked: "Independence Ironstone by Castleton China, Inc Made In Japan Dishwasher Proof Genuine Hand Applied Underglaze Decorations Permanent & Acid Resisting Colors".  We have other pieces of this pattern up for auction at this time, so please visit our other auctions, and we will be happy to combine shipping whenever safely possible.   It is your responsibility to read our Auction Policies below.  Please email with ANY questions.  Click on the Shipping Calculator to find the cost of shipping to your zipcode, and add the applicable cost of insurance.

We are not professional appraisers or experts on each item or category of item.  We try to research each item and give our best opinion and description of that item.

We try to take pictures that reflect the condition of each item at time of sale.

Most items we sell are pre-owned and have visual and physical cues typical of an item that has been used.

We do not sell "on approval" and will accept returns ONLY when an item has been unintentionally misrepresented due to an omission or error in the description or missing in the photo, and we agree.  Shipping charges in either direction will NOT be refunded.

Payment terms: payment is expected within 10 days of our notification to you of your total due.  We prefer PayPal but will accept Money Orders and Personal Checks (held until cleared unless a high feedback rating) as the method of payment.  We do NOT accept payment that requires us to go for pick up. 

We ship via USPS Priority Mail within the 50 United States.  We quote a shipping price in the ad based on this mode or the Shipping Calculator is based on this mode.  International is calculated on the cheapest method available.

We do have handling figured into our shipping fees.  There is more to shipping than JUST postage.
