CB - Computer Interface System
Use your computer to control your CB!
Imagine the possibilities that would open up if you could interface a computer with the channel control circuit (PLL chip) and transmit control of a CB radio. Memory capability, full use of any expanded frequency available in the radio, creative transmit control, not to mention the educational value of seeing binary and decimal data conversions in real time. Such a system would give you the capabilities and features found only in much more expensive radios. The system described here can be used with any standard PLL-controlled CB to achieve all of those advanced features, and more. The best thing is that the actual electronics are amazingly simple, and can be built by anyone with a bit of electronic project construction skill. I have personally used this system with a Uniden PC 66, Uniden PC68, Cobra 148GTL, GE 5813B, Uniden Grant XL, Cobra 21XLR, and a Galaxy DX959. It can be adapted to many, many more radios, as well!
