CELTIC BROOCH / MOUNT ?

 

You are bidding on what I believe is a Celtic Mount or Brooch found whilst metal detecting in East Yorkshire.

Description:  Quatrefoil in design with each clockwise arc terminating in a raised coiled spiral.  Central retaining hole.  Back is plain.  Dark green patina with slight pitting throughout.  Evidence of plough damage.

 

Size: 42.51mm (at widest point)

Weight:  9.416g

 

Found on a predominantly Celtic & Roman site.

 

The Mount has a low starting price and no reserve
