Ralph Rucci established his womenswear label, Chado Ralph Rucci, in 1994.

Named after the Japanese tea ceremony, Chado embodies Rucci’s highly intricate yet restrained aesthetic, which is influenced by sources ranging from Balenciaga to Asian symbolism and abstract painters such as Cy Twombly.

 An ambassador for American fashion, Rucci presented his first haute-couture collection in Paris in 2002, becoming one of only two Americans in history to be on the official calendar of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.

Both his ready-to-wear and haute-couture lines distinguish themselves with their impeccable craftsmanship, luxurious fabrics, and subtle embellishments.

Rucci’s work has been featured in Cooper-Hewitt’s 2006 National Design Triennial and in retrospectives at The Costume Institute of the Kent State University Museum, The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and currently at The Phoenix Art Museum.

Ralph Rucci was Awarded the 2008 National Design Award by the Cooper Hewitt Museum for excellence in design

This gorgeous suit is made of soft light wool in a wonderful shade of light celery green.

Jacket is designed with a great fit and a small lapel.

The jacket is made with welt seams on the sleeves, front and on the back creating the look of geometric sections on the jacket.

The jacket closes with three buttons in front.

Matching skirt is made of the same soft fabric and falls in a straight silhouette.

There is a smiliar "sectioned" treatment on the back and two small slits.

Both pieces can be worn together or separately with other items in your closet.

This is so comfortable to wear and so pretty.

The quality and construction is amazing, a signature Ralph Rucci's artistry.

It's divine, great for many occasions.

A great piece that can be worn year round.
