Synopsis:
In the breakout role that led to Croupier and Closer, Clive Owen smolders as Stephen Crane, swindler and purported savior of a struggling sports car company. Sacked from a bank, he lands at Douglas Motors, where he becomes surrogate son to the patriarch, confidant to the son-in-law, and lover to the daughter. | Movie description | This British television series follows the shady business dealings of sometime investment analyst and (mostly) cunning con-artist Stephen Crane, played with aplomb by a young, dashing Clive Owen. After engaging in controversial doings at a formerly unblemished London bank, Crane squeezes into a job with Douglas Motors, where he soon becomes an intimate with the prestigious Douglas family. Owen is wonderfully slimy and strangely charming in this role, and it's not hard to see why it helped propel him to stardom. Included here are all 13 episodes of the show's first season.
