You are bidding on a formerly enjoyed circa late 1950's to early 1960's Lane era Charatan's Make high grade "SUPREME" series. "FH" (Free Hand) stamped "Long Shank Dublin" shaped pipe.  At its time of production, this pipe sat at the top of the Charatan line.

The dense straight grain and the carving of the shape of this pipe are both gorgeous! Look at the photographs below and judge for yourself - it's a beauty! This pipe possesses a perfect balance and very comfortable hand feel. A pipe cleaner will pass to the bottom of the bowl. The draft is nice and easy. Overall, this magnificent pipe could become your cherished favorite.

Here are the dimensions of this amazing briar: The overall length measures 6.50". The bowl height is 2.25".  The tobacco chamber measures about 0.825" in diameter, and tapers down the bowl's 1.80" inner depth. Capacity is about the same as a Group ODA sized Dunhill pipe. This pipe weighs 49 grams.

I have lightly, but thoroughly, meticulously and carefully cleaned, sanitized, polished, and rejuvenated this gorgeous lightly formerly enjoyed pipe to a pristine and condition both inside and out. The hand cut vulcanite stem is free of any scratches, tooth marks, or oxidation. The "CP" stem logo had been worn, but can still be seen. The stem shines like glass! All bowl stampings can be easily read. It is truly ready to enjoy right out of the box. )

Early Charatan pipes of this high of a grade, possessing this strong of a grain, with the beautifully artistic shaping of the bowl, and the pristine condition are rarely encountered and are in a very high demand. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out.
