• Shipping charges cover only the cost of freight, insurance, packaging and handling, and do not include duties, taxes, customs brokerage and/or collection fees. Such additional amounts are the buyer’s responsibility and are normally collected by the delivery company. Please check with your country’s customs office for an estimate of what taxes and fees will be assessed. Under no circumstances is The Barrington Garage responsible for any such taxes and fees.
• The documents accompanying your shipment will state the price paid, less shipping, as shown in the eBay listing. It's illegal to label an item as a gift for which you paid us money or state a lower value than the price paid in order to avoid customs charges, and we will not honor requests to do so. Because such requests for illegal activity violate the eBay User Agreement, they will be forwarded to their Trust and Safety team for review.
• Products cannot be shipped to any country where importation is prohibited by customs regulations or other laws, and we suggest contacting your country's customs office to see if the item you wish to purchase can be legally imported. 

COMMUNICATION

You can expect e-mail correspondence at each step in the transaction process, including payment and shipment tracking notices.
• If you're not receiving messages as expected, please check your spam settings and junk e-mail folders.

PAYMENT

Payment is due immediately upon winning an auction or making a Buy It Now purchase.
Unpaid item reports are automatically filed after 4 days of non-payment.
Transaction cancellation requests will be treated as unpaid items.
All payment types, including credit/debit cards and eChecks, are processed through PayPal.
PayPal policies require that we ship only to the address listed as the shipping address on the PayPal transaction record. If you attach the wrong address and a revision is necessary, we must first refund that payment, then you'll need to send a new payment with the desired address.

SHIPPING CHARGES

ORDER FULFILLMENT

• Most orders are shipped within 3 business days of cleared payment. Any exceptions will be clearly stated in the item description.
• If you select an expedited shipping option such as Express Mail, we'll do our best to ship within 1-2 business days.
• Most orders ship from our warehouse in Maryland, so please remember that ground service transit time increases the further you are from the Mid-Atlantic region.
• All shipments include online tracking and coverage against loss or damage in transit up to the time the carrier scans the shipment as delivered.
• A $10 service charge/restocking fee will apply if a shipment is refused or returned due to an undeliverable address, and additional postage may be required for re-delivery.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES, CLAIMS & REFUNDS 

• If you change your mind about your purchase, you're welcome to return it for a refund of the winning bid or Buy It Now price within 30 days.
• We're unable to provide exchanges per se, but it's possible to accomplish an exchange by purchasing the new item you desire and returning your initial purchase.
• Before sending your return, you must send us an e-mail requesting a return authorization (RA) number. You should receive the RA number and complete return instructions within 24-48 hours. The item must be received in original condition including all packaging and components. Returns arriving without an RA number, not in original condition, with components missing and/or after 30 days will be refused and returned to sender.
• Shipping and handling charges aren't refundable, and return shipping for non-defective returns is the buyer's responsibility.
• In the rare case of damage in transit or product defects, you must e-mail us and describe the problem within 5 days of receipt and you must retain the shipping box and all packaging material until the claim is resolved.
• For damage claims, the carrier will investigate, and their decision is considered final with regard to the validity of a claim.
• For issues covered by a manufacturer's warranty, you should contact them directly for service. 
• All refunds are issued through PayPal and are generally processed within 3-5 business days after the return is received or the insurance claim is paid.
• Under no circumstances will The Barrington Garage provide reimbursement for unauthorized repairs or expenses or issue refunds greater than the original invoice amount.
• There's no restocking fee for authorized returns, but if you received free shipping on your order, the amount of the original shipping charges will be deducted from your refund unless the item is defective.

PHOTOS, PRODUCT AVAILABILITY and FEEDBACK

• Much of our merchandise is purchased in bulk quantities, so we take one set of photographs for identical items. While we guarantee your merchandise to be as advertised, the product you receive may not be the exact one shown in the photos. On the other hand, if the product listed is a "scratch and dent" item or significantly different from a first quality sample of the product, we will clearly document such defects or variations.
• Because computer monitors vary greatly in how they display color, we can't guarantee your item will exactly match the color as you see it on your screen. Additionally, any advice we provide regarding color should be considered subjective and is also not guaranteed.
• Even with computer tracking, maintaining a 100% accurate count of our large inventory is a significant challenge. In rare instances, an item may be unavailable due to a data-entry error, software glitch, discovery of previously unseen damage, etc. Should this occur, you will be issued a full refund of all charges and offered free standard domestic shipping (not international, oversize or expedited) on your next purchase (within 30 days). Your patience and understanding will be greatly appreciated.
• Due to the large volume of orders we process, feedback is handled through an automated system which will quickly send a a positive comment when you post a positive rating.
