This auction includes one bone clasp case (t'ao) bound in original blue cloth with title plate to front.  Measurements are 4 1/2 x 7 inches.  Case and endpapers show considerable wear.  Encased are eight string-bound bifolium books (k'uo).  A couple of strings are unfastened or loose, most would benefit from a rebind.  Leaves show light marginal toning throughout, else very clean.  All Chinese calligraphic text legible throughout.  Approximate publication date is early 19th century, maybe 1820-1850, this is an educated guess.  PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON.  Questions?  Please do not hesitate to ask.
