A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This auctions inlcudes a cloth wrapped bone-clasp case (t'ao) with a title plate along front. Item measures 4 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches. Title plate shows considerable wear and papers loss. Endpapers are mildly toned with a couple minor points of loss, else very good. Also includes four string-bound bifolium books. Three of the books contains numerous illustrations of elderly men in traditinoal Chinese attire. My guess is they are clergy, sholars, or politicians. The fourth book appears to be a traditional Chinese tale with images occuring on the recto leaves. Pages are clean throughout with only a couple points of foxing. Bindings are sound. Approximate publication date is 1900, this is an educated guess, could be older or newer. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON. Questions? Please do not hesitate to ask.
