ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER BY CHARLES CHRISTOFLE

ROUND TRIVET WITH LOVELY DIAMOND DESIGNS AND A ROUNDED FOOT IS MARKED WITH "CHRISTOFLE"

The hallmark is too tiny for me to photograph.  It is a design within a square.  I see an olf-fashioned scale in the middle with the letters "C" and "C" on either side of the scale.  I see no numbers, but I can distinguish 4 stars above the scale and another small design below it.  The maker "CHRISTOFLE" is right below the hallmark in a rectangular impression and in capital letters.  The trivet weighs 3 ounces.  There is a cut out circle in the center with 6 diamonds made with 4 cut-out diamonds within each.  The diamond design surrounds the center circle forming a geometrical flower design.  The trivet is 4 1/4" in diameter and the rounded foot which I photographed is 2 1/4" in diameter.  Even though the trivet is small in size it is quite stable and sturdy.  I remember that it was used for the coffee pot in my home.
