It highlights the problems faced by immigrants from the Netherlands in the early 1950s, and how they found encouragement in worshipping the Lord together.

It is the story of the building of a church with a distinctly reformational character, upholding confessionally the faith & tradition of Anglican, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches in Britain & Europe. The aim from the outset was to write a story that would both be based on adequate research, and have a wide popular appeal.
