The framework for my grading system is the Goldmine Record Album Price Guide. The scale goes like this: Mint (M) = sealed. Near Mint (NM) = perfect condition in every way. Very Good plus (VG+) = very good condition with little or no sign of wear. Very Good (VG) = very good condition with slight signs of surface wear. Very Good minus (VG-) = good condition with some noticeable scratches here and there – no skipping. Good plus (G+) = good shape, no skipping, but you’ll hear some scratching. Good (G) = quite a bit of wear, possible skipping. If a record rates below G, which mind you is a very playable grade, I will not sell it.
