The CIS(Continuous Ink System) consists of a high-capacity ink reservoir (same as using between 7 ~ 8 ink cartridges per color) that is attached to a cartridge via secure tubing. The tubing acts as a vacuum to extract ink from the reservoir and keep the cartridge full of ink. Because of the large reservoir capacity, you can print for an extended period of time without running low right away. There is a red line on the reservoir to indicate when it is time to refill.
Each CIS comes complete with easy-to-follow instructions, ink, and all accessories needed to successfully use the system. The included UCI cartridges have a permanent smart chip already installed, which will automatically reset itself when your printer power is turned off (for 5 seconds) and turned back on. No mess! No leaking!
Not only do you get the Unit-kit Continuous Ink System but you will receive an abundance of ink to get you started. - 6 Color Assortment includes Black in 160ml bottle, Yellow in 130ml bottle, Cyan, Photo Cyan, Magenta and Photo Magenta in 100ml bottles.
After using up the ink in reservoir, you can refill the reservoir with a refill kit sold separately. The refill kit contains Six bottles with easy pour spout.
For your convenience, there is a filter built into the ink tank, to prevent outside agents from contaminating and/or affecting the quality of your prints.

Instructional Manual Continuous Ink System for use
in Canon S800, S820D, S830D & i9100 |
| Before using this product, please read and follow the instructions. After opening your package, make sure to check that all the accessories shown in figures 1-1 through 1-3 below are enclosed. |

| 2. Set-Up Continuous Ink System(CIS) |
|
a. Before installation, lay out all your parts in front of your printer.
b. Check your system for any leakage, and make sure your tubing system is tightly connected and straight.
c. Place the CIS on the left hand side of the printer ,and keep it on the same level surface as the printer.
d. Hold down the ink tank with one hand and remove the original air stoppers as shown (Fig.2-1-1).
e.Take Air Breather Tube take out of the bag, now you are going to create a constant picture channel inside the ink tank,do exactly and carefully as shown in fig..
f. Hold the Air Breather Tube at rim and insect slowly the take into the ink chamber (untie the tube) seals the hole tightly to avoid the ink level rise up to the air breather
g. Complete the insertion of Air Breather Tube into the rest of ink chambers
h. Start up the printer to print a test pattern, the ink level in the tube will drop to the normal level.. |

| 3. Cartridge Installation |
|
a. Open the original cartridge cover and take out the original cartridges.(fig.2-2-1)
b. Install CIS cartridges in their respective color position and push the cartridges all the way down in compartment just as you would the original cartridges (fig.2-2-2).
c. Close down the cartridges cover as shown (fig.2-2-3) |

| 4. Tube Adjustment and Positioning |
|
a. Place adhesive pad on the outside for the printer as shown (fig.2-3-1)
b. Make sure the tubes are not twisted and are straight.
c. Adjust tubing between cartridge compartment and tube guide to correct length; allowing enough room for the cartridge to move back and forth freely (Fig.2-3-2) d. Turn on the printer and make sure the system moves smoothly.

| 5. Refilling Ink |
| When the ink levels reach the indicator (sticker on the ink tank) the ink tank system has reached its low level line and needs to be refilled as to avoid losing pressure in the system.
Follow these steps:
1. Gently remove the air breather plugs in order to have more filling room. Printer and ink tank MUST remain at the same level (not higher and not lower).
2. Remove plugs off of the filling hole and refill the proper color of ink into the corresponding ink tank,(Use paper towel to wipe off any spillage).
3. Make sure you use the specially designed inks, low foam ink for the CI System as they are specifically designed for optimal results.
NOTE: When removing the CI System, remove cartridges and put tape over the cartridges exit holes. |
| 6. ATTENTION |
|
1. After installing the CI System, do not remove the cartridges unless it is necessary. If cartridges are removed, Immediately place cartridges upside down with ink exit holes facing up to avoid leaking. If cartridges are removed for more than an hour, please cover ink exit holes with tape.
2. When you are printing do not move the ink tank up or down. Keep it stable and at the same level as the printer.
3. Store at 15-35 degrees Celsius.
4. The ink and cartridge flow have been designed and tested to function as a system. We recommend you use the specially designed ink Low Foam Ink in the CIS for optimal results. |
