Presented is an original Mathew Brady photograph of a Civil War, two cannon rampart along a shoreline. The cannons are believed to be three inch Ordinance rifles. The figure sitting on the breech of the gun at the right is possibly the commanding officer, and the person sitting in the foreground on the lower right wearing a straw hat may be a senior gunner. There also is an officer standing on the lower left, next to a person with binoculars, who is an officer as shown by his shoulder boards. The others are enlisted artillerymen ranks. The print is shown below full size.

PROVENANCE: On the reverse of the print, in pencil, is “ CIVIL WAR photograph by M. Brady purchased from Norman Flayderman“.

This rare Civil War print by Brady who was the most prolific photographer of his time, with Norm Flayderman provenance, is a superior addition to any Civil War collection 

CONDITION: The viewing area of this print is mostly free of foxing and other spotting and can be matted to the best advantage. However, please keep in mind that it is about 145 years old.
