Central Boiler Outdoor Wood Furnace CL5036, Charcoal in Color  This is the #1 Selling outdoor wood furnace in North America for a reason.  Specs:.  The firebox is 50 inches long and 36 inches wide and 30” high.  It has 74 sq. ft. of heat transfer area thanks to its patented design.  It holds 196 gallons of water and weighs 1,670lbs. dry.  The rectangular firebox gives it much more surface area and volume than a similar sized barrel firebox as can be proven with simple mathematics.  In most cases the firebox is almost double in volume and surface area for the heat to get from the fire to the water.  Every piece of the firebox has water on the outside of it except for the door which has a lifetime warranty. The average use for this unit is a 1500 sq. ft. ranch (does not include basement sq. ft.) with an insulated 2 car garage.  It can heat up to 5,000 s. ft.  Please email to find out which size is right for you.

This is one of few outdoor wood furnaces that is UL listed and certified as a heating appliance.  In most areas it is illegal to even sell a heating appliance that is not UL listed.  One of the only furnaces on the market to have been independently tested for efficiency and emissions.  In all tests ran against competitors’ furnaces the Central Boiler came out on top by significant amounts.  The heat transferred to heating water was double that of the runner up.  The stove comes with a 25 year warranty on workmanship and a lifetime warranty on the door.  Central Boiler stands behind their products and has great customer service.  The secret to the Central Boiler's efficiency is a combination of things, the sprayed on urethane insulation that is in most places 5-6 inches thick.  This creates an air tight seal around the firebox preventing corrosion and heat loss that other methods cannot match.  The snow will not melt off the roof during the winter unless the sun melts it!  The deep drop Heat-Lock baffle which makes the smoke go down the baffle before exiting, holding in the heat unlike furnaces with the chimney out the top which lets the hottest gases out.  This baffle allows the Central Boiler to achieve real secondary combustion in the firebox burning off excess carbon increasing efficiency significantly.  When the stove is burning the exhaust fumes turn clear because the excess carbon is being burnt off.  Some furnaces claim they have secondary combustion but most are designed with big blowers that actually cool off the fire.  There are many claims made about other furnaces that are against the laws of physics.  Some people tell you to burn green wood because you will go through less wood in a year, this idea goes against known physics. To increase the heat transfer area the Central Boiler has a patented Ripple Top design.  These furnaces can be hooked up to hydronic systems, forced air systems, a pool, a hot tub, your hot water heater, a hydronic heater in your garage, etc.  This is not a Dual Fuel Ready model.  A dual fuel model means that the unit has a hole cut in the side from the factory which allows you at anytime to add a natural gas/LP/fuel oil burner to the side as either a back up system, or to ignite the fire if it ever went out.  You can also get a wood pellet/ corn burner attachment instead of the gas burner.  We may be able to change it to a Dual Fuel model if you purchase it soon enough.  Please email with shipping questions as shipping may be available. 

Auction is for the stove only.  We carry all parts to install the boiler for any application, including underground tubing with high density foam.  We carry all sizes of furnaces, including the new E.P.A. approved E-2300 (rebate available) certified to be at least 85% efficient making it the most efficient in the nation and can make a listing for whatever size Central Boiler you need if one is not currently going.

Our neighbor had a barrel style furnace with the chimney out the top to heat his poorly insulated shop, the barrel style stove (Royall) could not keep up especially when it was colder out.  The unit eventually needed service so we disconnected it for him so the factory could pick it up.  He needed heat and we had just got in a Central Boiler furnace so we decided to let him use it until his other stove came back from the factory.  We installed the Central Boiler in place of the barrel style one and did not change a thing.  After using the Central Boiler for 1 week, he called the factory and told them to keep his old stove and send his money back so he could buy the Central Boiler, when asked how it was working, he said "I told the factory they can keep their furnace" he was so impressed with the Central he purchased it shortly after.  The Central Boiler heated his shop even when it was colder out.  He burned 55 face cords of wood with the barrel style stove and the next year with the Central Boiler dropped down to an amazing 25 face cords of wood, that's around 55% less wood!  He now heats his shop, his house, and domestic hot water with the same stove and still uses less wood than when he only heated his shop with the barrel style stove.
