THE CLAROSTAT POWER RESISTOR DECADE RESISTANCE BOX IS MARKED: MODEL 240-C, S/N 5945. BENCH SIZE OF THE INSTRUMENT IS 9 1/2" X 13" X 5". THE DECADE RESISTANCE BOX IS IN EXCELLENT PHYSICAL CONDITION. WE TESTED IT WITH AN OHM METER ON 3 OR 4 SETTINGS AND ALL METER READINGS SEEM TO CORRESPOND TO THE SETTINGS WE HAD IT ON. CHECK OUT THE PICTURES. OUR METER DOES NOT GO HIGH ENOUGH TO READ THE HIGHEST SETTINGS.
THE CLAROSTAT 240-C POWER RESISTOR DECADE BOX IS SURPLUS FROM A MAJOR STATE UNIVERSITIES VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL. IT WAS SURPLUS DUE TO ONGOING ANNUAL EQUIPMENT UPGRADE PROGRAMS.
