lene munthe

lene munthe (b. 1949) is known as the rebel who dared mixing silver and gold in her designs when convention told her not to. she proved not only that this could actually be done, but also that it could be done with amazing results. in her shaping of objects it is the combination of hard and soft, and of precision and vigour that attracts her


munthe graduated as an industrial designer in 1978 and opened her own design studio in 1980. since that same year, she has been a member of the board of industrial designers of denmark


since 1981 munthe has created designs of jewelry as well as applied art for the georg jensen silversmiths. she also works for royal scandinavia, in the company's product development department


apart from her unique jewelry designs for georg jensen, where she combines materials to create unpredictable and naturally elegant motives, she also created one of the company's very first sterling silver watches in 1990. munthe wished to create a multi-functional watch that lived up to the technical and aesthetic standards of our time, and she succeeded: her watch combines classic materials with multi-functional quartz movement


having worked with product design for many years, lene munthe is now establishing her own consulting business, where she helps small businesses with innovation and design processes

Payment options

 We prefer PayPal. You can make a PayPal payment at the auction site for the actual sale. Alternatively, you can send your credit card information to us by e-mail. Please separate the information in two mails. One with the first 12 digits and one with the last 4 digits, expiry date and name on card - AND your CVC-Code. (The security code printed near, or in, the signature field). We also accept bank to bank wire transfer.

Shipping

Please note that we charge the same shipping rate all over the world.

Combined shipping for Georg Jensen jewelry means that you pay one basic shipping rate for the first auction (normally US $20.00) - and normally US $5.00 for each additional auction). You will find the actual rate listed with the actual auction

Normally we will combine shipping automatically.

Insurance is different from item to item. The insurance fee is listed with the item description.

If your delivery address is within the EEC/Europe 25% Danish VAT will be applied to the invoice total - also to the shipping rate.
