Offered here is THE Best Bb trumpet you can ever get : Early and rare Monette Bb trumpet ( late Chicago model ! ) 24K Gold brushed finish S#1043 ( on photo ). This custom trumpet was created @ Monette shop circa 1993 and this is a precursor of made now STC1 model which goes new with 12 months waiting period for close to $8000 raw brass ( not gold brushed which is an extra cost of possibly another $1000 or more ) . I bought this horn not too long ago and this instrument possibly had 2 owners before me. This horn is in great condition with few resolderings on the braces and finger saddle which are all shown on photos. Please note mouthpiece receiver which accepts STC2 and STC3 Monette mouthpieces. I was told that one of the previous owners asked Monette to change mouthpiece receiver for this one. Another thing is that 2nd slide crook has raw brass finish and was possibly changed during that time. Please note a rarity of this item as this is the first early Monette in gold brush finish I have ever seen or owned. DON`T MISS !

So to condition of this instrument it looks great and those minor flaws described above does not take away beauty of this horn. I don`t see any serious repairs anywhere. Please examine bell flare picture I don`t see any repairs there either. I don`t see dings on dents. Mouthpiece receiver has few scratches on the outer edges ( not in the hole where mouthpiece goes ).

Sound of this instrument is absolutely great in the whole range and way above high c. I owned few Monettes before this one including 993 more recent Monette model and to me this horn sounds much better than 993 as it really has a just right amount of darkness in the sound great for any style of music. Of course you can also adjust amount of darker and brighter overtones when mouthpiece is changed from deeper to shallower cup.

During time of my ownership I played it only with valve guard and I recommend this to a new owner as well. No you don`t need to send this trumpet to Monette for adjustment unless you wish to do so. It`s ready to play out of the box and you will really love it from the first sight and note you play on it ! DON`T MISS.

I`m selling it only because I own many various trumpets and this one was not played a lot recently. Somebody outthere will enjoy this Monette big time ! This is THE BEST Bb TRUMPET ON THE PLANET EARTH ! and plays nice and smooth in the whole range with a beautiful darker tone but not as dark as the heavy models made by Monette and still blends nicely with conventinal other brands trumpets. Please notice pictures showing 2.13 lbs & metric 1.27 kgs of weight. Valves are really spectacular smooth and fast with amazing PERFECT ! compression and as you see on photo all slides are coming out as well. DON`T MISS.

Since this trumpet has upgraded mouthpiece receiver I will include ONE ! of the mouthpieces I own B4 size or B4S size STC3 type. Please let me know which one you want if you are buyer of this item.
