You are buying a beautiful Original, Classic Nambe “Bread” / Serving Tray “Nambe 550”.
Long, fluid lines define this quietly spectacular tray. Intended primarily for serving a loaf of bread, the leaf shape also works beautifully for an arrangement of such hors d'oeuvres as marinated asparagus spears and chicken satay on wooden skewers. To avoid knife marks, first slice your bread on a cutting board, then warm both the bread and tray in the oven. Serve the sliced bread wrapped in a cloth napkin for extra flair and heat retention. The signature Nambé metal, impressively safe at temperature extremes, keeps bread toasty or appetizers chilled as it complements any table setting. Designed in 1956, the early days of Nambé, the handcrafted bread tray endures as a beloved classic.
Nambe has the appearance of Silver, but in fact is a special metal alloy with no surface plating or coating. It contains no lead and will not chip, peel crack or break. Nambe will not tarnish but it will scratch, like silver. Nambe will impart no taste to foods cooked or served in it. Its polished surface helps prevent food from sticking, and the special metal alloy retains heat and cold.

This lovely piece was a gift that was given to me in 1988 on my wedding day. Truly Gorgeous. I am the original owner and I guarantee it is UNUSED, in EXCELLENT - LIKE NEW Condition. Finish is sleek and bright. Has the common imperfections, very light, polishing lines, from the make process. As each piece is uniquely Hand made, there are no two pieces that are the same.
Each piece is individually cast in sand from the original design and then uniquely hand-finished by a skilled artisan. Slight imperfections found on Nambe’s brilliant finish are characteristic of the sandcasting process.
Comes with all Use and Care Instructions, original label and box. This piece has been stored for 21 years. A nice polishing will really bring its vibrant finish alive!
Finish is So Gorgeous, I could not get away from capturing shadows and reflections. These are not marks on this Great Piece. (The Black mark on surface in one of pictures is the Reflection of "Nambe" from the box).
This would make a truly incredible gift or a welcome addition to your Nambe Collection!
