 Old Authentic =CM (Christiania Magasin)= Norwegian fishing glass float

 

    Item description:

   This dark olive green glass float is an old authentic working buoy that was found on the Ottersøy island, Nord-Trønderlag, Norway. It is marked as embossed 'CM' on its seal. With the nylon netting of perfect condition. This float was made at Hurdal, Hadeland, Biri or Drammen Glassworks for Christiania Magasin (Oslo) from the year 1898. The size of the float is approx. 4,5 in (the grapefruit size) in diameter. It has some bubbles inside. There are no damages on it, no cracks but  there might be a couple of scratches on it due to its age and use at sea. In general it is of an excellent condition. Very beautiful old fishing float!
