Old Authentic 5" = CM = Norwegian fishing glass float/buoy

 

    Item description:

   This auction is for an olive-green glass fishing float. It is an old authentic working buoy that was used for fishing in Vesterålen area, North of Norway. It is marked as embossed 'CM' on its seal. This float was made at Hurdal, Hadeland, Biri or Drammen Glassworks for Christiania Magasin (Oslo) from the year 1898. The size of the float is approx. 5 inches (the grapefruit size) in diameter. With white nylon netting of excellent condition. Very beautiful old glass float!

This glass buoy will make a nice addition to your collection and a maritime decoration!
