Description (revised)

TRUE VINTAGE WELL TRAVELED STATION BAG IN GREAT SHAPE

COACH STATION BAG
No. M4C-5130
Black Leather
with
Brass Hardware

9 ½ in tall x 9 in long x 2 ½ in wide.
Removable shoulder strap
provides a 22 inch drop.

The Black Leather of this purse is soft
and has a natural pebbling of the exterior.
It features a main interior compartment
with an interior slip pocket,
and a gusseted pouch under the flap.
This Coach Station Bag is a pre-owned vintage handbag
in great condition.
The piping shows some signs of prior usage
and has barely begun to wear through on the front left corner of the gusseted pouch, see the pictures.  The rest of the piping is in great shape.
The interior is quite clean for its age.
The strap has a loose thread an subsequent small spit mid strap.
See the picture that this would be a very easy fix for a cobbler or other leather crafter.  We nearly switched out the strap for a newer one, but thought that the bag deserved to keep the original.  Besides, the original strap is a bit thicker leather than the newer ones.
The brass handle hardware is easily twice as thick as its more contemporary counterparts.
The leather is also heavier than similar newer bags.

Check out the close up shots to see how the brass hardware is worn from carriage.  We love that about these old guys, they are well traveled.
A Vintage Coach Station Bag with it's original swing tag.

We would like to be paid in bones and bisciuts, but our human insists on money. That is why we make it simple and accept Paypal, Money orders (we love money orders), and Certified Bank Checks. Personal checks are arcane and a pain so we don't mess with checks. We allow a full week for payment or to hear from you before we take appropriate action. We understand if something like an unexpected trip to the Vet (growwwwllll) or other things more important than E bay arise, just let us know and we can work it out. We aren't all that eager to file disputes, although WE HAVE AND WE WILL.

Shipping charges seem to be the bug-a-boo of E-bay buyers and sellers. We strive to minimize cost and maintain consistency in shipping charges, charging $1.50 over the actual carrier charge. For items that can ship in priority mail flat rate boxes, the charge is $1.00, to keep shipping under $10.00. We charge this nominal fee not to offset gasoline, because we don't drive or fill the tank, our human driver does that. It is applied toward laundry related expenses because we will only send clothing that we would dress our own humans in. It is also applied toward cleaners and oils for leather goods. Still more mundane items like printer ink, tape, hot glue, paper and treats for the shipping department come out of it. We also combine shipping on multiple items paid on the same invoice. It's best to inform us ahead of time so we can wait until all the auctions you are interested in close before invoicing. Priority mail boxes are used when we can because they make life easier. We will cut them down to a smaller size in an effort to reduce packaging weight whenever we can. Parcel post items are usually sent in custom made boxes cut to fit each item nearly perfectly. We're quite crafty with a box cutter and a hot glue gun. Our driver takes us to the Post Office at least three times a week, but we like to go nearly every day because we get cookies. There you have it. Shipping a la acoupleofdog.

We do not consider ourselves so perfect that all sales are final, we are only canine so we do make mistakes. In those rare instances, and there have been a couple, we make things right really fast and with wagging tails. Contact us within 3 days of delivery confirmation though, the longer you wait the more likely we are to decline. And we have declined. Beware that we are not try-then-buy equipped, and we can sniff those types out pretty good. We growl, bark, and block them. We love original questions about points that aren't covered in the text or visible in the photographs. We like to put any minor flaws right out there, and truly do not want to sell unserviceable goods. We are avid shutter bugs and don't mind sending additional pictures if needed. We do all this, to avoid that.

One day our human was griping about how much it cost to feed the Two Hungriest Cocker Spaniels in the Universe, and said we should start paying our own way and buy HIM some food for a change. We said that if the food he was giving us was so wonderful, he'd eat it himself. In retrospect, we should have kept our mouths shut! Since the unemployment rate for dogs is really high, we thought we could start by selling things. We tried door to door sales with little success, but we found great stuff out there. Now we spend our days sniffing around Chicago for juicy road kill, er, umm, E-bay items, to keep us in kibble and to make other people happy. (and road kill)

The best way to contact us is through the E-bay message links. Our e mail box fills up out of control, so communications could be overlooked. Besides, we don't know how many times we've gotten in trouble trying to lick the SPAM off the monitor.
