Click On Any Photo To Enlarge In the photo above, the fabric is draped on a table. You are seeing side "A". As with most damasks, you can choose to use either side of the fabric as the "front". On side A, the pattern is in a light gold over a medium taupe - the light gold actually appears more beige since it is over brown. The crayons in the photos are Crayola's "Gold" and "Copper".
In the photo above, the fabric is again draped on a table. You are seeing side "B". On this side, the pattern is in a light gold over taupe or cocoa brown. The golden tone is more predominant on this side of the fabric.
Pattern: Valencia Color: Cocoa
Type of Fabric: Elegant, Formal Damask Drapery or Upholstery Fabric featuring an acanthus leaf and floral pattern. The design swirls and repeats over the entire width of the fabric. The fabric is approximately 8 1/4 oz. per square (not running) yard. Suitable for draperies or for light to medium use upholstery projects. I would not recommend it for sofas, etc. that receive hard daily use (especially from children and pets) but it is well-constructed and tightly woven. Has a fairly firm hand - it can be crushed and gathered but has nice body.
Width: 57 7/8" wide less 1/2" selveges on either side so 56" - 57" wide without the selveges.
Color: This is a beautiful light gold and cocoa brown or taupe combination. According to the original manufacturer's label, the color was cmlbrn/1 - I assume they meant camelbrown. Looking at the selveges, one color is definitely a light gold while the other is a medium taupe or light cocoa brown. On the side where the pattern is created in gold (Side "A"), the taupe underneath the gold "dilutes" the gold so that it looks more like a golden beige. On the side where the pattern is created in taupe (Side "B"), the golden color is more predominant. The crayons are Crayola's "Gold" and "Copper". The color of the "Taupe" portion of the fabric is more brown than the "Gold" crayon but not as rusty as the "Copper crayon. If you have the Online Auction color chart, the taupe color falls closest to oac722 but is a little darker and a little more brown than the square. The light gold threads fall closest to oac807.
Fiber Content: 51% polyester; 49% cotton. Made in India
Texture: The taupe areas of the fabric are formed by a fine satin stitch having a very smooth feel. The light gold areas are in a plain stitch and are not quite as satiny or fine as the taupe areas.
Midweight - about 8.25 oz. per square yard - suitable for either drapery or upholstery. Drapes nicely but probably should not be gathered tightly. Soft hand with some body.
Priced at $7.99/yard -- you select the number of yards you would like to purchase. Each item is 1 yard. Your fabric will be all in one piece up to about 20 yards; however, if you purchase more than 20 yards, please specify cut lengths of not more than 20 yards. We'll try to send you the amount you buy in its entirety but it helps us to have cut lengths in case we hit a seam or flaw. Example: If you want 10 yards, select item count 10. You pay $79.90 plus shipping. You will receive a piece of fabric that is 56" wide by 10 yards (30 feet) long!

We ship through the USPS and via UPS. Our most common shipping methods are USPS priority mail and UPS ground service. UPS ground service takes 2-3 business days to most areas between the Appalachian mountains and the Rockies. It takes 4 business days (e.g. we ship on Monday, you receive on Friday) to the coasts. Priority mail usually takes about 3-4 days. We are in a small town and cannot offer overnight mail through the post office. If you need next day shipping, please contact us about UPS next day air. We ship Monday-Thursday and usually ship the same day/next day after your payment clears. We also ship on Friday if you pay by 5 p.m. on Thursday. If you pay after 5 p.m. on Thursday and need your fabric shipped on Friday, please telephone the store at 1-800-646-9328 (712-551-1523) and we will try to accommodate you.
