[*professionally cleaned & tested if needed] NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT of AMERICA and CAPCOM GAMES present: CODENAME: VIPER - #NES-VP-USA Description Set against the backdrop of the war on drugs from the late 1980s/early 1990s, Code Name: Viper directly confronts the drug cartel at their bases in South America. You play an American secret agent who must infiltrate the cartel drug bases and mansions, free hostages and informants, and piece together clues about who the kingpin is-- and inevitably bring him down. Equip yourself with a progressively more powerful arsenal as the game progresses in standard NES side-scroller fashion. Code Name: Viper, released in Japan as Ningen Heiki Dead Fox (人間兵器デッドフォックス,? Dead Fox: The Human Weapon), is a side-scrolling action game released in the 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System published by Capcom. The player assumes the role of an undercover U.S. agent named Ken Smith under the command of an army officer who assigns him a dangerous mission in South America in order to combat a commando army. In the end, the player realizes that the commander is corrupt and he ends up killing his superior officer. The game borrows an extremely heavy influence from the classic arcade game Rolling Thunder, down to the concept of ducking into doors to hide or pick up ammunition, and nearly identical-looking enemies whose abilities can only be told apart from the color of their outfits.
