ABOUT THE AUTHOR - Kenneth Bressett has proven himself as one of the most knowledable people in the field of Numisimatics.

He has actively promoted the study and hobby of numismatics for more than fifty years.

His published works on the subject cover a wide range of topics and extend from short articles to highly sought after reference books.

Throughout his career, he has worked as an author, editor, and publisher of books for coin collectors around the world.

He has taught numismatics to hundreds of students at Colorado College, UCLA, and Roosevelt University and advice to numismatics around the world.

From 1983-1985 he worked on the staff of the American Numisimatic Association as Director of Coin Authentication and Educational Programs.

Subsequently, he served on the Board of Governors and as vice president and president of the A.N.A.

In 1966 President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed him to the U.S. Assay Commission, and in 1996 the Secretary of the Treasury made him a member of the Citizens Commemorative Coin Advisory Committee.

He was elected to the National Numismatic HALL of FAME and the received the American Numisimatic Association MEDAL of MERIT and the FERRAN ZERBE Award.
