This book is a must for antique doll collectors.  It is a wonderful source to look up any old doll you may find.  It has hundreds of resouce areas that you may be interested in.  There are pages of marks, photographs, histories, etc.  It was printed first in 1968.  This issue is the third printing done in 1971.  It was published by the Crown publishing company in the USA.  Three sisters, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Evelyn Coleman spent years researching the different antique dolls and writing the information down in a very usuable form.  There is a total of 697 pages, most of which have actual photographs.  There are several pages of color prints, over 2000 illustrations in all.  The book measures 11 inches by 9 inches and is almost 2 inches thick.  It weighs around 5 1/2 pounds.  There is a dust cover that is slightly torn but the book itself is in perfect condition.   I think the latest dolls mentioned were made in the 1940's.
